2024 — Volume XVIII — numbers 1 & 2
Note: International shipping is $47.
This double issue for 2024 continues the revitalized journey of the Mundus Artium journal, building on the foundation established in the 2023 relaunch issue. Following the tradition of our world literature periodical founded in 1967, this volume advances the journal's commitment to international literary exchange, friendship across borders, and the pursuit of beauty in form and thought.
In keeping with our global literary vision, this issue's contributions span multiple continents and traditions, featuring voices from the Balkans, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Poland, Romania, Russia, the Netherlands, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States and Uzbekistan.
The issue opens with an interdisciplinary essay by astrophysicist Roger Malina, geoscientist Robert Stern and poet Frederick Turner, exploring the evolution of the Bass School of Arts, Humanities and Technology at the University of Texas at Dallas as a case study of scientific emergence.
The issue features an in-depth interview with Romanian writer Ion Deaconescu (Gjenima Prize winner, 2024), celebrating poetry's ability to transcend borders and "awaken consciences" despite threats to authentic expression.
