The Orpheus Texts Poet of the Year, 2023, is awarded to the Taiwanese poet Lin, Sheng-Bin, “for illuminating the human experience with profound verse and enriching the tapestry of our collective consciousness through the power of poetry.”
Taiwanese poet and scholar Lin, Sheng-Bin taught at the Department of Spanish Literature at Tamkang University until 2022. His current pursuits include literature and aesthetic research, painting and poetry. He holds a PhD in Spanish Literature from the Complutense University of Madrid, in Chinese Literature from Tamkang University, and in History of Art from the University Sorbonne Paris IV. From 2001 to 2005, he served as the editor of Taiwan-based Li Poetry, a bi-monthly magazine founded in 1964.
